What is a mortise lock?
Mortise pin is one of the most commonly used lock types for fixing commercial and residential property doors. Also known as ferrule lock, the ferrule pin is installed in the cavity (or ferrule) at the door edge, so it is called ferrule pin. The ferrule latch has two main parts: the main body installed in the door and the box installed on the door frame.
Type of mortise lock.
Mortise locks are mainly divided into three types: mortise pins, mortise buckles and mortise deadlocks.

The plunger latch has no locking mechanism and is used to open and close the door with the door handle. The two most common ferrule pins include tubular ferrule pins and standard ferrule pins.
Tubular ferrule latch.
The ferrule tubular latch consists of a narrow "tubular" barrel with a latch. The latch is operated by rotating the door handle or the door handle. Because of their size, the tubular ferrule latches are easier to install. These are ideal for interior doors, such as access doors.
